The Journey of NUI Foundation
NUI Foundation was created to address a simple but urgent need: consistent access to better nutrition for youth.

What began as a small, real-world challenge—teachers asking for healthier snack options for their students—quickly revealed a much larger gap. Many available options lacked meaningful nutrition and failed to meet the needs of students with dietary restrictions.
​
In response, founders Daron Stetner and Yi Na Chan began providing a better solution—sharing the same snack they had created for their own 3 children with local classrooms and youth programs.
​
What started as a small act of support has grown into a broader mission: expanding access to reliable, better nutrition for communities that need it most.
Rooted in Community
NUI Foundation began by working directly with schools and educators facing the daily challenge of providing better food options for students.

By listening to real needs within classrooms and youth programs, the foundation developed a community-first approach focused on practical, scalable solutions that support both access and consistency.
